2.) Test Administration: During this meeting, the clinician implements the agreed-upon battery of standardized tests, which may be paper-and-pencil tasks, computer-based tasks, or interactive activities. All tests are clinically proven and tested. In some cases, the assessments can take two or more days due to the length of testing and the child’s disabilities.
3.) Scoring and Interpretation : The clinician Analyzes the test results against the known standards of the type of test conducted. They consolidate and interpret the results, generating a report with recommendations for the client.
4.) Feedback and Recommendations : The clinician meets with the client to discuss the test results, providing feedback to the client and, if applicable, their family, along with recommendations for interpretations, treatment, and accommodations for further evaluation.

A battery of tests includes two or more assessments and or tests to achieve a comprehensive goal. The following evaluations are the most common areas of evaluation and testing.
Comprehensive Psychological Evaluation: This evaluation is used to assess an individual’s functioning in areas associated with learning, behavior, social skills, mood and anxiety, and cognitive processing. The results provide important information about how an individual best learns, interacts in their current environment, succeeds in their career, academics, and social relationships, and helps guide specific recommendations for treatment and/or accommodations. Types of tests/assessments for this evaluation include:
Pediatric Neuropsychological Evaluation: This evaluation helps children and their families/caregivers understand their behaviors and address the child’s needs. The child’s thinking patterns, emotions, and behaviors across multiple environments are assessed. The results help the clinician design individually tailored, evidence-based recommendations to help the child and their families succeed in school and at home and improve their relationships and overall mental health. Types of tests/Assessments for this evaluation include:
Psycho-educational Evaluation: his evaluation assesses a child’s academic functioning, intellect, and executive functioning. The results help assess specific learning disabilities, including ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, cognitive processing disorders, and learning disorders. These results are often used to create individualized school recommendations for the child, which may include 504/IEP advocacy at the child’s respective school. (any additional IEP meetings and revisions are billed at $250/hour of support)
Autism Assessment: This assessment provides a screening to determine whether the individual meets the diagnostic criteria for autism. It utilizes a series of tests that provide information about one’s intellectual abilities (e.g., language, attention, memory, and motor skills) and performance in critical academic areas (e.g., math, reading, writing, and spelling). This assessment examines the following areas: communication abilities, social interactions, cognitive functioning, and behavioral patterns.
Costs of Assessments
Psychological testing involves administering, scoring, and interpreting tests; it also requires the psychologist to prepare a written report and meet with parents to review the results. The cost for a full assessment is determined by the total number of hours the clinicians require to complete the full evaluation process, from testing time with your child to the results review session with you. Typical costs for a full assessment range from $1,800 to $3,600 based on the number and type of tests involved. Where only a specific assessment is required, the cost can range from $360 to $950. Please call our office to determine the types of assessments needed and an estimate of the cost. The estimate will be refined at the first meeting.
