My approach to treatment focuses first on understanding you – the whole person. In therapy we will work together to understand your emotions, your concerns, and your goals. We will implement skills and practices to alleviate distressing symptoms and ultimately help you towards a healthier, happier you.
My approach seeks to empower you in overcoming your struggles and improving your life by building the innate skills and abilities you may have forgotten or don’t believe you have. No matter where you are or have been: Yes, you have the ability to move forward, and you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to help you tackle stress and worries, anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, depression, life transitions, trauma and grief.
I have specific experience in addressing adult and adolescent anxiety, trauma and depression, body image issues, developing a healthy relationship with food, and transgender issues, as well as children and families addressing divorce, life changes, and child behavioral issues. Additionally, I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who can help you in achieving and maintaining your recovery from addiction and help you stop battling your emotions.
